Worship Arts Pastor

Paul has been in music ministry from New England to the Pacific Northwest, from Quebec to Texas over the years. He has ministered in different countries in Europe with his wife, Franca. Over the years he has taught music in Christian Academies and Christian Colleges, but he also loves being a student. Paul enjoys singing in civic organizations and has also played principal clarinet in a couple locations. Aside from the Lord and Paul’s wonderful family, music is his life. He believes that worshipping God is integral in a believer’s life individually and through expression in the body of Christ. This does not mean only musical worship.

Activities: Spending time with my family and being outdoors. I really like beach combing and crashing waves, but I also like breathing in the wonderful air in the cascade mountains of central Oregon, as the stands of ponderosa pines sway in the breeze under clear azure skies. It doesn’t get much better than that. I also write worship tunes.

Interest: Teaching music to young and old alike - keyboard, voice and woodwinds, or in the classroom. I love playing piano and woodwinds. I really love baking, and am the assistant cook – Franca is awesome.

Favorite Music: I really enjoy piano concertos and clarinet concertos; anything Mozart, R. Strauss, Beethoven, Copland, Sousa, Bernstein and others. I love smooth jazz and R & B, worship tunes (with interesting chord progressions) and Gospel choir/ensemble music.

Favorite TV Shows:  TV Land throwbacks, Keeping Up Appearances & Mr. Bean (britcoms), Wipe Out, Non-agenda HGTV, Food Network (the competitions mostly), Weather Channel (I know, I’m boring) and Mystery Diagnosis.

Favorite Movies: Hook (would love to fly!), Moonstruck, Sound of Music, Most recent Kids’ Movies, It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World, Fugitive, Shawshank Redemption (edited).

Favorite Books:  The Bible, just can’t put it down; What Are You Living For?, The Magic of Thinking Big, The Book of Positive Quotations.

Favorite Quote:  “I go to prepare a place for you. . .that where I am you may be also.” – Jesus

Something About Me: I cannot tell a joke to save my life, though I think I am a humorous individual, go figure. I love God, my family, people, good music and my favorite food group is pizza.
